Cataracts

The eyes contain a lens that focuses light to the retina. Around the age of 45 years old, this lens starts to get cloudy. The lens also gets thicker and less flexible as it ages. As a result, your vision may become cloudy, fuzzy and blurry. You may also experience increase in glare, trouble driving at night,  and changes in your glasses prescription. This condition is referred to as a “cataract.”

A dilated eye examination will aid Dr. Devine in evaluating your eyes for cataracts. She will provide an assessment of cataract development and you will be referred for cataract surgery when it is indicated.
