Dry Eye

Dry eye is a condition in which a person doesn’t have enough quality tears to lubricate and nourish the eye.  Tears are necessary for maintaining the health of the front surface of the eye and for providing clear vision.  Dry eye is common, particularly in older adults.

Most people with dry eye either do not produce enough tears or their tears are of a poor quality. Symptoms of dry eye include burning, stinging, gritty feeling, foreign body sensation, excessive watering, and blurred vision.
Dr. Lynette Devine will evaluate your eyes for signs of dry eye during your eye examination and recommend treatment if indicated.
